Refill Devotional, Week 2 Day 4: “Certainty To The Uncertain”

Certainty To The Uncertain

Isaiah 55:10-11

From cover to cover God’s Word speaks of a beautiful plan of redemption and the love of a Creator for His creation. Unfortunately, that same creation can be fickle and doubting. Even Jesus’ disciple Thomas could not believe Jesus was who He said He was and Jesus in His understanding gave him the surety he needed. God knew us before we knew Him and gave us a certainty in his Word; it’s full of many more assurances that He is who He says He is and will accomplish that which He says He will accomplish.

In this Scripture alone He shows that His Word will soften a dry, hardened land, bringing cleansing and refreshment and causing new life and growth to spring forth. His Word will provide and give purpose to those that receive it. They will be nourished and satisfied by it. God’s Word will overcome any element or hardship to accomplish what it was sent for and it will not fail. It is a Word that brings healing to that which was barren and calls out life from that which seemed dead. It is a Word that is missional, targeted, faithful and true. It is a Word that brings assurance to the doubting and confidence to the downcast. Let faith arise as you hear his Word and put your hope in Him today.
