About Our Ministries

Are you interested in serving at Canvas? We will help you find a place where you are both valued and utilized, somewhere you can serve according to your unique gift set and make an impacting difference in God’s Kingdom.

At Canvas Kids we have exciting services where children will encounter Jesus Christ through music, videos, stories, and engaging activities. Our classrooms are prepared for the following age groups to ensure a safe and fun atmosphere for your children.

  • BABIES: 3 months – 23 months
  • TODDLERS: 2 years – 3 years
  • PRE-SCHOOL: 4 years – 5 years
  • ELEMENTARY SCHOOL-1st Grade – 5th Grade.

We recommend arriving 10 – 15 minutes prior to the start of service in order to check-in your children in the appropriate classroom. Check-in closes 15 minutes after the worship service starts.

We use a secure check-in system that gives each child a unique security number with a corresponding label with matching security number for the parents. You must have this parent label at the time of checkout for security purposes. If for some reason you are needed to attend to your child during the worship service, you will receive a text message to the mobile number provided at the time of check-in.

Canvas Youth is a fun place for Middle School and High School students to gather together in community with other young believers and discover how to live out their faith at school, home, and beyond.

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. Ephesians 2:10 NLT

An unexpected pregnancy can be scary. It’s normal to feel lost and alone and even a little afraid. We know what that’s like and at Canvas Church we can help.

Canvas Church has teamed up with Embrace Grace to love and encourage single and pregnant young women and their families. Women experiencing unexpected pregnancies receive practical, spiritual, and emotional support.

After the Embrace Grace support system, take you next with Embrace Life. This is the continuation program designed for single moms. Here you will gain the confidence you need to become the woman and mom you dream of being, make new friends and gain life-changing skills that will help you find your passion.

You can have your baby and your dreams too!

Embrace Life Small groups currently meets Tuesdays, 6:00 pm-8:00 pm at Canvas Church.

Jesus said, "Go into all the world and preach the Good News" so we GO!

Led by Pastor’s Miguel and Debbie Rivera, two or three times a month, we go somewhere! Whether it’s just across the border into Baja or flying to another country across the globe, we go to preach the Good News. Reaching the world is God's passion and our purpose. We do this by developing pastoral leaders and strengthening the local church alongside outreach ministries in rural communities around the world.

Join us as we enjoy the adventure God takes us on!

Canvas Outreach Ministry exists to lead our church in reaching our community, with the life-giving message of Jesus Christ, so they might encounter Him, know His love and live His plan.

“But how can they call on Him to save them unless they believe in Him? And how can they believe in Him if they have never heard about Him? And how can they hear about Him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!””
Romans‬ ‭10‬:‭14‬-‭15‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Led by- Pastors Anthony Porter and Nicy Porter

Overcomers Outreach is an international network of Christ-centered 12 Step support groups which ministers to individuals, their families and loved ones who suffer from the consequences of any addictive behavior. We exist to serve as a bridge between traditional twelve step recovery groups and churches of all denominations. We recover together as we meet to study and grow in God's Word.

Join us every Tuesday for our Outreach Recovery Meeting, at 6:30- 7:45 at Canvas Church. Our meetings are all welcoming, regardless of age, race, lifestyle, background, or belief.

I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.
Mathew 25:36

Our Prison Ministry exists to take the word of salvation and the redeeming power of Jesus, the lost and broken behind prison walls. We believe the Lord is raising up pastors and teachers of His word even in the prisons, with our help. This ministry began about 1 year ago, by Arturo Sampo, who knows first-hand how life-changing it can be for a prisoner to hear that there is hope for a new life in Jesus.

Our Prison Small Group meets three times a month, at the Tijuana or Ensenada prisons with inmates and Canvas Church volunteers.

Join us as we lead the lost to Jesus and experience the hunger that exists for Him behind bars.
