Jesus changes everything

We are currently in the middle of our, “Jesus Is” series and this past weekend the message was amazing and challenging. If you were not there check it out here on our podcast.

One of the reasons why Christmas is so awesome and so celebrated is because the greatest gift, Jesus, really does change everything. Just look at the first few chapters in Matthew and in Luke and you will see all sorts of change taking place. Look at the first few chapters in Mark and John and you will begin to see the effects of the fact that Jesus changes everything. Jesus is truly the greatest gift humanity could ever receive because Jesus changes everything. But what must I do with the gift of Jesus, the gift that changes everything?

I remember back to 2010 when the Iphone 4 came out they had a slogan, “this changes everything”. Great slogan but in reality it did not change everything. I mean I still put my clothes on the same way, make my coffee the same, put gas in my car the same way I did… the Iphone 4 as cool as it WAS did not really change everything. Although not everything changed with my new phone I was still really stoked to get it. So stoked that when my wife gave it to me for father’s day I did not hesitate to grab it out of her hand or I mean graciously receive it and then open that bad boy up and begin to use it. My excitement however did not stop there though! I was so pumped about my new Iphone 4 that changed everything that really did not change everything that I had to begin to show it to everyone and I wanted my wife to get one also. She waited however and got the Iphone 4S and then Siri really changed everything…

You see the Iphone is a really cool gift and it does do alot of things and yes I still really appreciate it but yet it did not change everything. Yet I treated it with so much joy and excitement so much so that I wanted to show it to everyone. This past weekend we were asked the question, “What do you do with THE GIFT Jesus that truly changes everything”? If we do it with a phone how much more The greatest gift ever, right?

Here are the 3 things we should do with Jesus the greatest gift.
1. Receive Him – Most people when they are offered a gift they gladly receive it. Have you received Jesus?
2. Unwrap Him – Just like I did with my Iphone, I did not leave it in the box. I tore into that thing and figured out every feature. What about with Jesus? Are you in the manual (Bible) everyday learning how amazing your life can be with him?
3. Give Him away – Man when I get a gift that I love and love to use I want to get that gift for everyone because it truly has revolutionized my life in some way. Jesus has changed everything about me that I want to introduce Him to everyone!
