Carols Devotional: “Away In A Manger, Part 6”

Bless all of the dear children in thy tender care and take us to heaven to live with thee there.

Receive the Kingdom like a child.
Matthew 10:13-16

I love my Canvas Kids. I always tell people how wonderful they are and so smart. A little while ago we learned about the promises of God and it was so easy for them to have hope in what God said. To believe that Jesus who He says He is. Their faith is so genuine and they have this amazing trust in God that always has me in awe. For most children, the Christmas Season is such a magical time. However for a lot of adults this is a season where people miss the loved ones they lost the most, feel weight of financial burdens get heavier, and have the feeling of loneliness overwhelm them. However I believe if you know and love Jesus, no matter what you are facing in life during this season there is a great hope in the promises of God.  We are God’s children, know that we are going to be with Him in heaven yes, but we can be with Him now. Invite His presence in this season. If you will be away from your family or don’t have a lot of family, guess what, God promises to never leave or forsake you and you are adopted into His family. If we can come to God like little children and open ourselves to experiencing the kingdom in word and the power this season and standing on his promises, I believe that this Christmas Season can be the best Christmas Season you have ever experienced.

  1. Man, it’s so true! Having that childlike approach sometimes is extremely difficult. It is definitely is essential when we are seeking to be refilled by his Word and presence.
