Our ministries

At Canvas Kids, we believe no one is too young to encounter Jesus, know His love, and live His plan. Our heart is to partner with families in building a strong foundation of faith that children can carry with them for the rest of their lives.

God’s Word tells us, “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6). We take that responsibility to heart by creating intentional opportunities for kids to know God’s Word, grow in their faith, and build a relationship with Jesus.

Every Sunday, kids experience Bible teaching, worship, and activities that bring God’s Word to life in a way they can understand and apply. We want church to be a place where kids have fun, build meaningful relationships, and develop a faith of their own. We believe the foundation being built today can shape a lifetime of following Jesus and make a lasting impact for generations to come.

Canvas Kids offers safe, fun, and age-appropriate classrooms designed for every stage of your child’s development:

At Canvas Youth, our heart is to create a place where every student feels like they belong and are known. Jesus said, “By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another” (John 13:35). We want that love to define our community as students build genuine relationships and grow together as disciples of Jesus during some of the most formative years of their lives.

We meet every Sunday at 6:00 PM and welcome all Middle School and High School students. Students can expect fun activities, powerful worship, a life-giving message from God’s Word, and authentic community designed to help them build a faith of their own and learn what it looks like to follow Jesus beyond a Sunday night.

During Small Group sessions, our Youth Small Group is an extension of Sunday Night Youth, giving students an opportunity to go deeper into the messages we’re teaching on Sundays through conversation, questions, and practical application.

At Canvas Young Adults, we want to help create an environment where young adults can build authentic relationships, grow in their faith, and follow Jesus alongside others navigating similar seasons of life. The Word tells us that the early church “devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers” (Acts 2:42). That picture of doing life and growing in faith together is at the heart of Canvas Young Adults.

Life during the Young Adult age (18 post-high school - 29 years old) can look different for everyone. You might be starting college, beginning a career, figuring out what’s next, somewhere in between, or simply starting from ground zero, and that’s okay. Canvas Young Adults is a place to navigate this season of life alongside people who are navigating it too.

Once a month, we gather together simply to have fun and build relationships. From nights out and activities to events and other hangouts, these gatherings are an easy way to meet other young adults and get connected to the community.

During Small Group sessions, we gather weekly for a sermon-based Small Group that builds on the Sunday morning message. It’s a space to talk through what we’re learning, ask honest questions, and practically apply God’s Word to our everyday lives alongside other young adults.

Canvas Women is passionate about seeing women of all ages become who God has called them to be. The Word tells us that “we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago” (Ephesians 2:10 NLT). Through faith, community, and encouragement, we want to see women equipped to walk confidently in their God-given purpose and make an impact for His Kingdom.

We want to champion and encourage women through every season of life, helping one another grow in faith, embrace who God has created us to be, and keep Jesus at the center of it all.

Canvas Men is passionate about seeing men step into the roles God has called them to and lead with the example of Jesus. The Word tells us, “For husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for her” (Ephesians 5:25). We want to see men lead with that same kind of sacrificial love, taking responsibility for their faith, their families, and the influence God has entrusted to them.

We believe that when men pursue Jesus and lead according to His Word, families are strengthened, communities are restored, and lives are transformed. Through it all, our desire is to see men become more like Christ and make an impact wherever God has placed them.

Canvas Men gathers on the first Saturday of the month at 8:00 am in the sanctuary for prayer, creating an opportunity for men to seek God together and pray for their church and community.

Canvas Church is proud to partner with Foster the City to care for children in the foster care system and support the families who welcome them into their homes. We believe the Church has an opportunity to surround these children and families with practical care, encouragement, and a community that reminds them they are not alone.

Through Foster the City, individuals and families can make a difference by becoming a Foster Family or serving as a Support Friend, helping provide meals, transportation, childcare, and encouragement. Together, our desire is to see families strengthened, children united with loving families, and the Church come alongside them with the support and care they need to thrive.

The mission Jesus gave His followers extends far beyond the walls of the local church. He said, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone” (Mark 16:15), and that same calling continues to guide us today.

Canvas Missions is passionate about carrying the life-giving message of Jesus to communities around the world. From strengthening local churches and developing pastoral leaders to partnering with outreach ministries in rural communities, our desire is to help others encounter Jesus, know His love, and live His plan.

We believe reaching the world is God’s passion and our purpose, and we’re committed to going wherever He leads and making an impact for His Kingdom.

Canvas Outreach is passionate about reaching people right here in Escondido and throughout North County with the life-giving message of Jesus Christ so they can encounter Him, know His love, and live His plan.

We believe God has placed us in this community for a purpose, and reaching people begins with being willing to share the hope we have found in Jesus. Romans 10:14–15 asks, “How can they believe in Him if they have never heard about Him? And how can they hear about Him unless someone tells them?… How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!”

Our desire is to be a church that looks beyond our walls, meets people where they are, and carries the love and hope of Jesus into our neighborhoods and communities.

Canvas Prison Ministry exists to bring the hope of salvation and the redeeming power of Jesus to the lost and broken behind prison walls. We believe no one is beyond the reach of His grace and that Jesus can restore what is broken, transform lives, and give hope for a new future.

Jesus reminds us of the importance of caring for those behind bars when He says, “I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me” (Matthew 25:36). We want to carry His love and hope into the prisons, reaching people right where they are.

Our desire is to see the broken restored, the lost come to know Jesus, and men within the prisons raised up as disciples, pastors, and teachers of God’s Word who can carry the Gospel to others around them.

Canvas Bible Class creates an opportunity for anyone who wants to deepen their faith and grow in their understanding of God’s Word. Our desire is to help people build a strong biblical foundation, better understand what they believe and why they believe it, and become more confident in applying Scripture to their everyday lives.

Through two years of study, students can earn a Certificate in Theology while exploring foundational areas of the Christian faith. Classes offered include Basic Doctrine 1, Basic Doctrine 2, Holy Spirit, Life of Christ, Discipleship, and Covenants.

Whether you’re beginning to study the Bible more deeply or looking to strengthen your understanding of Scripture, Canvas Bible Class is a place to learn, grow, and be equipped in your faith.
