21 Day’s of Prayer and Fasting

Isaiah 58:6

“Is not this the fast that I choose: to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the straps of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and to break every yoke?”

We are going to start 2016 with a time of prayer and fasting to prepare our hearts and the spiritual atmosphere for the great things He is going to do this year. As we head into this time of prayer and fasting we ask that you seek God on how He wants you to be involved. Below are several suggestions of things you may consider giving up during this time as well as specific things we will be praying for together.

Prayer and fasting starts January 10th and will conclude on the 30th. For a detailed prayer card please stop by the information table at one of our celebration services. If you are unable to stop by and pick up a prayer card please email us at info@canvassd.com and we will mail you a packet.

During the 3 weeks of prayer and fasting the office will be open from 12:00pm – 1pm Monday – Wednesday and Thursday 6:30am – 7:30am for corporate prayer gatherings. Please consider joining us as often as you can during the week.

What we are praying for for Canvas in 2016:
1. The Presence of God to be in our community in a powerful way.
2. God to use us to bless others in fun and creative ways.
3. People to give their hearts to Jesus Christ.
4. Everyone one to get plugged into a small group and grow in their faith.

We are also going to be praying focused prayers for:
* Our city and governing officials.
* Our state and governing officials.
* Our nation and governing officials and the elections.

Things to consider fasting:
* Food.
* Meats and grains.
* Sweets.
* Television.
* Social Media.
* Pray and ask God to reveal to you what things you should fast during this time.
